Hey there! I’ve decided to combine my top deals and frugal tips for you! I’ve only included products and services that I actually use on a regular basis. I know you’re busy mommas and I don’t want to waste your time with extras you’ll never actually use. First, I’ll explain saving money shopping (grocery shopping and clothes) and then my favorite blog necessities. Share with me your favorites if they’re not listed here, I’m always up for a good deal!
Oh, and make sure you don’t miss my free quick guide tips to saving money below!
Save Money on Shopping
Are you a mom who loves a good deal? Ibotta is like coupon shopping, after you’ve purchased your items! Did I mention it’s completely free? You just search your items, scan the barcode on the item and your receipt, and that’s it! You get money into your account. So easy! It’s amazing to see how quickly your items add up. Make sure you check to make sure the store you’re shopping at is listed in Ibotta. Certain items need to be specific brands, but some items are “any brand”. It can be helpful to look at Ibotta before you go shopping so you make sure you choose the right brand, but be careful! You might end up buying more than you planned, try to stick to you grocery list to stay on budget. I love this app so much, I even convinced my husband to get it. If you want to give Ibotta a try, click here for your free $10 welcome bonus!
Ebates is an amazing program. Just like Ibotta, it’s a completely free and easy way to earn money on products that you’re already buying! Ebates is for any online shopping that you do. While not all stores are included, it’s absolutely worth checking out. Ebates also has a great add on to your browser menu bar that will alert you if there’s cashback savings on that site – so you’ll never miss the extra savings. By signing up with this link you’ll get $10!
Thredup is great for mommas looking for great prices on clothing for themselves or their little ones. ThredUp sells secondhand clothes. The great part is that you can filter your search to the quality of the clothes (new with tags, like new, gently used, etc.), your price range, size, and even the brand you’re looking for. You can find some pretty incredible deals on clothes that have never been worn! Brands include J. Crew, Gap, Anthropologie, Michael Kors, and so many more. It’s definitely worth checking out if you haven’t. My first order contained 3 shirts for my little man for less than $10! Click here to get $10 to spend on your first order when you sign up! Also, make sure you download the app, you’ll get a push notification any time they have an extra % off sale (which is pretty frequently!)
Did you know you can shop GAP kids clothes for a great deal? I’m not kidding, you just need to know when to shop the deals. I love GAP clothes, especially for their quality. To start, if you have a Gap Card, make sure you shop on Tuesdays – you’ll get an extra 10% off (use code TUESDAYS online). Gap also runs a lot of sales. If you wait they’ll often run 40% off everything, including sale items. Combine this with an extra 10% off Tuesday and you’ll be in business. Last week, I purchased baby clothes for 70% off! If you’re patient and shop the deals, waiting can definitely pay off.
Target & Target Cartwheel
Target Cartwheel allows you to take your coupons with you on your Target app. You can scan the products in your cart and quickly add the coupon to your app before you check out. Combine Target Cartwheel with your RedCard and always get 5% off (and free shipping when you shop online)! The Target RedCard comes as both a debit or credit card. If you’re trying to watch your budget, I’d recommend the debit card. If you’re hoping to build credit and are able to fully pay your bill each month, go ahead and get the credit card.
When it comes to diapers we always wait until Target holds their baby sales and stock up. The deal is usually spend $100 on baby essentials and get a $20 gift card. You can combine this with your 5% off when you use your RedCard. We have not had any issues with the Up & Up brand, but if you prefer a different brand those are usually included in the deal as well. However, going without name brand diapers can really save you money. I also recommend buying the largest boxes you can, as you’ll save more money buying in bulk. I’m a numbers lover, so let me show you the difference this can make!
Ordering 5 packs of diapers (880 size 1 diapers) or 3 packs of name brand (828 size 1 diapers)
Regular Price = $109.95 (up & up); $137.97 (name brand)
RedCard + Baby Sale = $84.45 (up & up); $111.07 (name brand) – after the giftcard*
*You can’t use the giftcard on the current purchase, but if you’re a Target shopper, you know it won’t be long until you shop again!

Starting A Blog
Want to start your own blog? Bluehost is the way to go!
My first resource for any momma (or person) who’s interested in starting his/her own blog in bluehost. I love sharing my passions and excitement for life and products with you! If you have something you’re passionate about, I encourage you to start your own blog. Having a self hosted site has allowed me to make my site my own. I have my own domain name, more opportunities for growing my blog (including financially), 24/7 support, and Bluehost offers a 30-day refund if you don’t love it. I know that starting a blog can be intimidating and you don’t want to spend the money if you don’t think it’s going to go anywhere. But for your blog to go anywhere, you need to start off on the right foot! At less than $4/month, I felt this was a great investment to see if I liked blogging. Click this link and get your site started for $3.95/month instead of $7.99/month. I’m also happy to answer any questions that you have along the way!
Also, be sure to check out my post, Start Your Blog in Less Than 15 Minutes, for instructions on how to quickly start your own blog!
Tailwind & BoardBooster
Tailwind BoardBooster is another one my favorite blogging products. To be completely honest, I tried Tailwind first and loved it. It definitely helped explode my blog in the first month it was created! Then, I started to not have as great of luck. The next month I did the trial of BoardBooster and was sold on it. It was incredibly easy, lower priced, and I simply saw better results. However, I’ve seen so many people equally love on both of these Pinterest Schedulers, so I suggest giving them both a try and seeing which you like better (unless you see AMAZING results that you love right away – then I wouldn’t change your strategy!).
Here’s how they’re similar.
- Offer great services if you’re trying to grow your blog and traffic
- Offer a free trial period.
- Work with Pinterest to schedule your pins and automatically post them for you.
- Find the best times to post to Pinterest (this is a little more straightforward in Tailwind)
- Help you keep track of your analytics
- Have Tribes that help you share your pins even more
Now, I mentioned that BoardBooster came out as my favorite. I feel that BoardBooster offers more. It has different types of campaigns, a looping strategy, a scheduler, and more. That being said, I do think Tailwind is slightly more straightforward to use.
While I love writing posts and hope readers are coming to check out my great content, I know that Pinterest is a huge part of helping readers to find my posts. Thanks to Pinterest, I had over 5,000 page views in less than 25 days after launching my blog (I started with 0 blog posts, some people launch with 20 already written!). After switching to BoardBooster, I started to see over 800 views a day!
Tailwind: Your first month of Tailwind is completely free. It’s definitely worth checking out. Click here for your first completely FREE month of Tailwind!
BoardBooster: Your first 10 days of BoardBooster are free. My views doubled in the first few days, and then were over 10 times what they had been in less than a week! To check out BoardBooster and start with your free 10 day trial, click here.
